Samsung Gear S3 review

Speculation is rampant over Samsung's alleged plans to unveil its new Gear S3 smartwatch in the coming weeks. Today’s leak seems to confirm the imminent launch, plus a little more too.
A new report claims that the Samsung Gear S3 will definitely be unveiled at Berlin’s IFA 2016 tradeshow at the beginning of September. It’s rumoured to be one of the firm’s major launches at the show, since the Galaxy Note 7 is now arriving earlier (in August). This is according to Sammobile, a specialist Samsung blog with a decent track record for leaks.
The blog also claims that the Gear S3 will retain the rotary bezel featured on the Gear S2. The quirky control feature is borrowed from traditional watches, and sets it apart from non-rotational bezel rivals like the Apple Watch. The retention of the spinning bezel also appears to confirm that the smartwatch will be round once again.
Samsung is expected to showcase both the Gear S3 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 at its IFA event this year. The company usually hosts its own dedicated event a few days before the tradeshow (running from September 2 to 7).
It’s also worth noting that we’re now just days away from the August 2 launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Last year’s Note phone was reserved for an IFA launch, but it seems Samsung wants to get ahead of the game this year. We’re guessing the company is tired of sharing the limelight with Apple and its yearly September iPhone launches.
